“You are enough. Sustain me.”
This has been my mantra through many rough times in life. I repeat it to myself to block ugly, nasty, vile thoughts from flying out of my mouth during an argument. I say it out loud through tears as I cry out to God during times of sadness. I whisper it when I am scared or nervous about something. I’m sure I look like a crazy person, murmuring repetitiously to myself, but it gets me through the moment of fear or doubt!
In essence, it takes the focus off of whatever predicament I am in, and puts it back on God, where it should have been all along.
I just want to encourage you: the next time you find yourself in a siuation that you feel is more than you can handle, just say those 5 words. Then believe them. Move forward. And get on with your life.
And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
